This thanksgiving was magical. I enjoy nothing more then cooking lots of food for dear friends. For the first time since i became a vegetarian, it was an all vegetarian menu. Actually it was almost all vegan, save for cheese potatoes and cheese rice and broccoli.
Green Beans Casserole. That lovely soup may have been the best find i have found in a long time. It is Pacific Portiabello mushroom soup. It's VEGAN and amazing! I've been trying to find a way to make this vegan for a long time it was nice to finally have a success!
Cheesy potatoes. These are what holiday food is to me. My mother makes it every year. I love it warmed up with bacon salt... it reminds me of eating it with little bits of ham when i was little. The best thing i made for thanksgiving was homemade bread.
It is the no-kneed bread from the NYT. It's magic, and apparently a huge hit cause it didn't last the day. I am gonna try to commit to making my own bread because it seriously isn't hard and it tasted SO much better.
Today I am spending time working on the PDF for a hat and starting another pattern that will be available soon.
